It's the people that make us different
Everyone here works on strategy and capability. This means that we have to practice what we preach and don’t shy from challenging the status quo. We have no juniors. We’re a team of peers with different backgrounds who have stood in shoes much like yours.
Once upon a time I was an academic scientist; 15 years on I delight in developing strategy and capability solutions across a range of industries, from Banking to Pharma. In between I worked with amazing teams, building great brands in sales and marketing roles at Unilever, Boots Healthcare International and Molson Coors; most latterly as Category Development Director.
I joined OxfordSM 4 years ago after 15 years in marketing and capability development in the beauty space. Immediately prior to joining OxfordSM I led digital and marketing capability for L’Oreal USA. I love being a consultant and helping clients crack tough challenges. Seeing teams achieve breakthroughs never gets old!
Surprising contrasts, I love them. Mozart to Motörhead, Donatello to Dan Flavin, I see no contradiction! 15 years of FMCG marketing in Unilever and other big firms, followed by 10 years at OxfordSM, has helped me to spot the heart of a challenge and bring together contrasting skills and ideas to find great results, across a range of clients and sectors.
I have worked in marketing and sales for over 20 years, first with Unilever managing brands including Persil, OMO and Dove before joining OxfordSM 10 years ago. I have consulted a wide range of companies including GSK, Unilever, Novartis, Vodafone and Marks & Spencer on subjects ranging from organisational capability development to innovation, brand strategy and launch excellence.
I am passionate about building brands that make a different to people’s lives. For instance, I led on launching Freeview (free-to air digital TV), CBeebies and also the BBC’s breaking news mobile app. I thrive on the end to end process from unlocking insights, crafting new and innovative propositions and then mobilising teams to get these into market.
What does Lego and commercial success have in common?
Both depend on building the right linkages at the right time and this is what I love to do. I spent 10+ years at P&G leading multi-functional commercial teams to deliver growth. This prepared me for my last role in General Management and now helps me at OxfordSM to work with companies to help them realise the full potential of a unified Commercial approach.
I’ve spent my professional life digging into the what’s and why’s of consumer and shopper behaviour - at P&G on businesses like Crest and Vicks Respiratory, and then consulting with clients across the FMCG spectrum. It’s my passion to translate insights into actions, and with OxfordSM, helping others get better at doing this too.
Like most girls, I'm a bit of a beauty product addict and have loved spending more than 13 years helping consumers look and feel good about their appearance in Senior Marketing roles at L'Oreal (Garnier, Maybelline) and Reckitt Benckiser (Scholl, E45, Dermocosmetics).
Having worked in both Global Strategy and Innovation roles, I have “end-to-end” Marketing Experience.

I spent 17 years at Unilever and PepsiCo. Most exciting line role? Marketing Director Asia – the speed of business was breath-taking. Funniest moments? Managing celebs in those Walkers ads! My experience across Marketing and Sales has covered many years (more than 10), lots of different roles (from Regional Marketing to local Shopper Marketing) a variety of body parts (faces for Olay through to bottoms for Pampers) but I'm most proud of the difference I was able to make in helping create the Pampers/UNICEF partnership that, 8 years later, is still going strong
I am a shopper marketing evangelist, and love helping companies to grow through shoppers. I learnt a lot in 18 years in CPG commercial marketing and sales with Heineken, Nestle, and Mars, in Europe and the USA, but as a consultant I learn more every day, and love to share that knowledge.
One of the company founders and until recently a Managing Consultant. Now based in beautiful Vancouver, I work closely with our West Coast clients, from healthcare to tech to CPG and everything in between. My personal interest is in digging deep to really understand what makes people tick and using that to drive behavior change – it’s not magic, but it’s close.

I've worked in consumer and business sectors for nearly thirty years so I've seen a lot of things. But when I get a new project brief I think, they've probably tried the usual methods and it hasn't worked – why don't we solve this using an approach they haven't seen before? Are you ready to innovate?

I have been with Oxford for 10 years now and my true passion is crafting simple, easy to understand solutions that drive growth. I am huge fan of digging deep to find that key nugget or ‘needle in a haystack’ which will really make a difference.
I started my career on the agency side, and then spent c. 15 years in line marketing at GSK. The best part for me was helping build the skills of others. Adding 12 years with OxfordSM, I've had the good fortune to continue capability development on live business issues, across a variety of categories, marketing disciplines, and in nearly 40 countries.
Capability Practice Lead
I look after our capability practice. I've spent about 17 years in capability on both the client and consulting sides, and have made most of the mistakes in the book so others don't have to! Started with P&G, and joined OxfordSM 3 years ago from GSK where I was VP for Global Marketing Excellence
Head of Commercial Practice

A former Head of Marketing in soft drinks, I'm equally at home in the world of consumer, customer or patient, ideally drawing on each to find new ways to succeed (but what I really enjoy is seeing the difference we make in front of a workshop).
After 15 years in food marketing (M&S, Mars, Danone, UB) , I've worked with government and global organisations across Health and Food – from Change4Life to chocolate, drink driving to painkillers, dairy cream to skincare - finding parallels and critical learnings by joining dots others can't see, and delivering important change across audiences and issues.

I love building brands. I've looked after brands you find all over the house, whether it is in the drinks cabinet, games cupboard or medicines chest. My proudest moment is taking Nurofen to number 1 in the UK and then replicating that success worldwide.
